KIRYU SHO

Kiryu-sho is the third piece of my biospheric series. The starting-point for this composition was some visual ideas inspired by impressive “thick” portamenti – a slide from one note to another – of Japanese double-reed instrument Hichiriki flute. The visual material is a twig which is transformed in various ways. Kiryu-sho means a small story of changes of seasons. Hiromi Ishii
